Colin Mackay

Colin was one of Australia's first internationally successful riders. I saw him in Strictly once when I was about 14 or 15; I think we might of exchanged a "hello". It certainly seemed like the highlight of my life at the time.

His part in Zero One was my favourite of the video. I couldn't figure out how he carved that curved wall-ride for so long. Looking at it now, it's clear the wall isn't entirely vertical, and as such cannot be categorized as a true "wall-ride". The filming angle was a wise choice since it truly appears like he is defying gravity.

Colin's career highlight was scoring the opening section for RIDEbmx's "digital interface". I've decided I'm going upload this part soon since I can't find it online. For now you can watch his part in Zero One and listen to him speak to Planet X.
